I just did a P2V on one of my WIdows 2003 server and when I boot up this new VM it states that I only have 3 days left to activate windows. Is there any "Hack" I can use to remove the winodws actication or trick it so my test VM does time out in three days?????

    Accepted Solution

No you will need to reactivate - its because the drastic hardware change the OS is seeing which is why it is requiring activation.

I do have a valid Microsoft License agreement..... I just didn;t want to have to call microsoft and active windows 2003 for a test enviroment that's all... I was not trying to break / bypass and laws or license agreement. I'm sorry for the miss communication
