Windows 2003 Netbackup 6.5.2A Not Using all Drives in Library

I'm running Netbackup 6.5.2A on a Windows 2003 Enterprise server. I have my storage unit for my library is set to use all four drives and my backup job is set to use this storage unit as well. I made sure multipling is set to 4 for my backup policy as well. Yet when the job runs it only uses one drive at a time and the server it is backing up has 5 physical drives that get backed up..

please help

hi,

if multiplexing is what you have set it will backup to a single drive with multiple threads of each item marked for backup to the same tape.  As in your case you have 5 physical drives which means it simultaneously backups the 4 drives selected for backup to a single tape.

If netbackup has the feature called multistreaming then you can select that option as that will write data simultaneously to multiple drives
