Last Modified: 2013-12-12
i have a computer that needs to transfer quickbooks pro 2008
to a new computer.

i need to keep all the settings, files, profiles, etc.

how would i do that?

i know how to back up quickbooks in quickbooks.
do i do that and then run that backup on the new computer with the quickbooks installed?

i want to make sure

Watch Question

Just copy the whole folder C:\Programs Files\Intuit\Quickbooks 2008 from the one that is OK to the other PC if you want, in the same folder, if you already have other installation just copy it in the same folder but with other name like "quickbooks 2008 pro working" and make sure that all yours Shortcuts are pointing to the new folder, and thas it, ("recomended to call quickbooks customer service to reactivate your copy", this is the rigth way to do it but is up to you)
