Hi everyone.
I setup a server called TS2 and I need to rename it CRM2.
The server doesn't do anything right now. Is it as simple as renaming it just how I would rename it if it were a workstation?
The domain name is not changing.

Thanks
Jonatan

Renaming should be a problem at at.  Just make sure that after the renaming you remove the old DNS records that point to TS2.

should not^

It should be that simple as long as it is not a DC and you do not have any special software installed. i.e. some backup software will have a problem if the server is renamed when installed since there are some palces in the registry with the old name.

If it is generic, then you should be ok.
