I would like to vbscript the task of having to launch dsadmc, then login to Tivoli, then execute the      'update node 'machinename' 'password' con="lastname, firstname, laptop"'
Is their a command line I could use at the windows system prompt that uses dsadmc and performs the above task? I could then incorporate this in a script.

    Accepted Solution

    yes, this is no problem.
dsmadmc -id=[your_admin] -pass=[your_admin_pw] update node machinename password con="lastname, firstname, laptop"
Use -outfile=[filename] additionally to redirect ouput to a file
Find a complete list of dsmadmc command line options here -
