UltraBac and SQL Backups configuration

We have SQL 2008 and the UltraBac SQL backup system for our setup. I'm wondering how best to backup the SQL databases with UltraBac and keep the ldf files (t logs) small. I setup UltraBac to truncate the logs when backing up, but do I need to change the SQL database Recovery Model to anything but Full?

Thank you.

OK, how about this... what do I need to do in order to keep the SQL logs from getting HUGE? If I set SQL database Recovery Model to something else will that help?
