I'm assuming you know the url of external app and want to know its full path, working from the url?

Almost certainly security will prevent you doing this directly.

Would you be able to put something in externalapp which would respond to internalapp?  I mean a page in externalapp which will 'respond' with its full path when accessed by internalapp?
