Facebook Dilemma - Dark Blue Background But Prefer Not to Have White Text Logo

Hello,

We have built a webpage that has a very dark blue background header, similar to Facebook's header.  Now, if you've been to FB you know their logo is just white text.  That's what we used originally too, but now we need to have some kind of color text.  

With dark blue at the background we've been really stuck - tried to stroke dark color characters in white; fade color up or down white characters; put black drop shadows under all white characters that had a fade color.  When we put a white background behind the logo it looked like one of those internet images with a pretty face holding a blank card and you write your text there - the white background made the logo look like it was snipped into a template.  

So... please can you point me to any nice sites that use a dark blue background at their head but still manage to have a nice looking non-all-white logo.
