Auto complete is not working in Outlook

In a new message I can start to type a name and get the auto complete to work, but if I am in the picture folder and click send to email it doesn't work with the auto complete.
So I am using the link on the left that says email this file or email this folder's files. I compresses them and I get the email form. But no one comes up in the auto complete.
