I have a Dell Poweredge 2900III &nbsp;server running Windows Server 2003 R2 and when I boot I receive an error message that Hal.DLL is missing or corrupted. The strange thing is that the past week I had the same problem on an ol HP Proliant 350 and was the reason why I replaced it with this new machine. Now I get the same error on a different machine.<br />

Everything that I found on your site and on my research was mentioning about Windows XP and Vista only and I was just wondering whether I am so lucky that this error came to me two times on two different machines running Windows 2003. <br />

Please advise and any help will be HIGHLY appreciated.

Hall.DLL Missing or corrupted Windows 2003

Windows Server 2003 was based on Windows XP and was released in four editions: Web, Standard, Enterprise and Datacenter. It also had derivative versions for clusters, storage and Microsoft’s Small Business Server.
