MS Access Stand Alone database

I would like to take an access database i have built and make it so that it will run as an application on any machine, whether it has Access installed or not.  I would also like it to run on a mac.  Is ther ea qiuck how-to on doing this, do i need to download a develoer kit or any special software or can Access do this?

If you are planning on doing a lot of runtime installs ... you may want to look at these products ... to be used together:

The sage key scripts pretty much help you avoid all the issues you have identified.   I have two clients the I do some work for ... and both have commercial Access products that they see ... runtime of course.  Both have been using the above pair for several years ... with minimal issues.  Something consider.

Nullsoft Scriptable Install System is a pretty good free and open source install system  [http://nsis.sourceforge.net/Main_Page]

If you want to install the Access runtime from your installer you simple tell it to run setup.exe /q - q is for quiet mode with no user interface.
