windows vista screen goes black and it freeze the laptop at startup

HP Pavilion DV6449us laptop.

At start up of Windows Vista my screen goes black or freezes operating system. But after a while laptop will respond and work properly.  Has anyone else experience this issue.

I would install your graphic driver or update it and see if the delay remains. In all likelihood i would guess you need an updated driver for vista. If that is not the case your profile could be corrupt and maybe try logging in as a different user to verify.

I have tried a different profile still have the same issue. Will try to update Video drivers.
