We are looking for the "official" Microsoft stance on running Windows Terminal Services on a 2003 and/or 2008 domain controller.  We need an actual URL or URLs that advise either way (i.e) it is supported, or not support/advisable.

This article describes installing terminal services application mode on a domain controller for 2000. It is against security best practices in general but it seems there is no technical limitation and with instructions it seems microsoft must support it.

Here's a pretty definitive answer on whether you should or should not install terminal services (application mode) on a domain controller: SBS 2003 FAQ.
While the FAQ is for Small Business Server, it lays out the reasoning clearly that terminal services in application mode is disabled since SBS is always a domain controller. Serious security consequences to allowing regular users access to the domain controller.
