Groupwise 7.03hp2 Webaccess login screen flashes and then goes white

We upgraded GW 7.02 to 7.03 hp2 on a new server, install failed.  Some worked, some features did not.  It turned out our certificate server was our old mail server, when I removed it from the tree, it resulted in a poor install.  I started over, rebuilding the server from scratch. Now, when a user tries WebAccess login, the screen shows momentarily then flashes white.  It will not accept any login info.  Our fix is to have users delete their browsing history in Internet Explorer.  (Safari users have no problems).  However, with hundreds of users, I'd like to force the issue, if possible, from the server.  It would help users a lot.  Or, is deleting the browsing history the simplest approach?

I had the same problem and the fix was to change a setting in my webacc.cfg file found on NetWare in the sys:\novell\webaccess directory.  On Linux it is found in /var/opt/novell/webaccess

Look for the setting in the Security section for the setting Security.UseClientIP = true and change it to false.  You can then unload both apache and tomcat or wait about 10 minutes for everything to auto refresh itself.

When we discovered the problem you could login but the screen would flash to white with a "done" in the lower left.  Pressing F5 to force refresh would sometimes bring up your mailbox. Or you could login and logout about 5-6 or more times and it would finally work.  But the next time in, you'd have to go through the procedure again.  We had 5,000 people potentially impacted.

    That setting fixed the problem.
