How to unlock MS Access files

I am using a third party program with Access and when the 3rd party program
crashes my MS Access files get locked up.  How does one unlock the darn things?
BTW, I'm am totally out of access so I don't know why it thinks I'm still using it.

    Are you referring to the .LDB file, a.k.a. the lock file?

    I've used it several times to 'unlock' various stuck files, including LDB files.
