Hey,

I got a winform where I need multiple xml based config files. Does .Net have support for this or do I need to read/write those files with regular xmlreader/xmlwriter ?

.Net supports XML based config files.

Right click on your project name and select Application Configuration File from the project templates.  This will auto generate a file called app.config in your project.  Any additional config files can be created in the same way.  The auto generated file will look like the following code sample.

Here is an MSDN page that describes the different types of configuration files and how they are used.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/1xtk877y.aspx

If you move to web development in the future, the following link has ASP .NET specific information for config files:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms178683.aspx

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
<configuration>
</configuration>
