I have an Alienware laptop with wireless and I am unable to detect my wireless network with it. There are 2 other laptops connected wirelessly to the network and do not have any issues. My alienware laptop can discover and connect to other wireless networks but just will not detect this one. I run on Windows Vista Ultimate and am bang out of ideas!

Maybe the access point doesn´t run at your laptops speed. Please post Acess Point model and the speed your connection is  supposed to connect .
Hope this gave you some ideas to try also.
