You can try this. &nbsp;Go to the Control Panel &gt;&nbsp;Folder Options &gt;&nbsp;File Types, and the scroll down to the type XLS. &nbsp;Click Advanced then Open Entery, and click the edit Button. &nbsp;Uncheck 'Use DDE' and inside the application box at the very end of the long line of txt put &quot;%1&quot; (include &quot;&nbsp;&quot;). &nbsp;If it says DDE at the end of that then remove it. &nbsp;I did this for some user at work who were having probelms opening excel and it worked for them. &nbsp;Or you could just reinstall it.

Excel spreadsheet is opening very slowly had to restore to an earlier version because it became corrupt. The earlier version is still continuing to open slowly. Does anyone know of a repair tool that will go through a xcel spreadsheet and fix corruptions?<br />
