for Auto reply, the answer is apparently NO.

You can, however, create exceptions to the rule.  See if one of the rules is for an auto-reply message.

Hello rsarangay,

The reply only once per send only applies to the Out of Office feature in an Exchange setting.  It does not apply to rules.  Rules will always respond.  There is no setting to prevent that.

Hope this helps!

I'm assuming your answer of NO is for my first question.  and i'm okay with that.  i like the link you sent me, but will the exemption be good enough to prevent looping?

unless there's a specific option for auto reply in the exception . . . the answer to that is unknown.  Say you (A) have a colleague (B) in another firm with an auto reply.

Some Third person (C) sends e-mail to both A & B.  A loop will ensue.

i dont like auto replies then.  i will not suggest using it to my company.  I'd rather turn on Out of Office externally.  Thanks everyone for your input
