Trouble setting OWA for Exchange 2003

I have a client running Exchange 2003 on a Server 2003 box.  I am trying to setup OWA and cannot get the login screen when I enter https://servername/exchange.  I get the page cannot be displayed.  I have tried the suggested article in another post.

http://www.petri.co.il/configure_ssl_on_owa.htm

I am using the CA server of the server.

I cannot see what I've missed, but expect I did.  Please suggest some options to review.

Is there an Exchange virtual directory in IIS? Is SSL setup on it? Have you tried reaching the page by IP?

Does it work without SSL? Could be a suspect certificate.

There is an Exchange virtual directory.  I did setup SSL according to the steps I've found.  Didn't try by IP as I was trying from the same machine hosting Exchange.  Used local host and machine name.  Was able to get into Exchange with the Windows Authentication method, but not the OWA login screen.

The certificate is self issues, by the CA on the Exchange server.

Are any other error messages displayed, other than the very generic 'Page can't be displayed'?  Anything in the IIS log file?

Your suggestion about a corrupt SSL cert made me go back and look at the CA on this server.  The issue process had not worked correctly.   I restarted that process and was able to get the OWA form to work with the cert.  All is in order now.
