Exchange 2007 Organization Name

Hello all,

I'm a bit confused about the Organization Name that must be entered during the PrepareAD command.  If my local domain is mydomain.com and my Internet presence is mydomain.com as well, would I just use setup /PrepareAD /OrganizationName:mydomain?

Also, is the syntax and spacing correct in the above PrepareAD command?

Thank you.

If you are running a single domain, no child domains etc, then don't bother with the manual prep. Just run the GUI and it will prompt you for whatever it needs and do the prep for you.

The command line only needs to be run if you have multiple domains in the forest.

Mestha is correct, but since you asked for the command syntax, I honored your request. GUI is always easier than command line. Good effort on on attempting it though, and learn power shell also, to be a real power user
