FreeNAS Windows Shares Networking

Hi, I have FreeNAS at home.  I have a little problem that I can't seem to figure out.  When I create a Windows Share, my windows machines can't see it.  My Linux machines can see Linux shares on the other hand.

Anybody can help me out with making windows see the windows shares on the freeNAS machines?

Thank you.

p.s. all windows machines are XP Professional SP2.

Sorry I misinterpreted the question. Refer to this guide. It is a good tutorial -

Hey I was able to get the freenas box to show under my workgroup....

the only problem now is that I can't log in.  It asks for my login and when i type it along with my password it changes my username to computerName/username  instead of just username.

then it tells me that my login is incorrect since it added my computer name to my username.

I think this issue is related to authentication. Can you please check the permissions as per this link - http://www.freenaskb.info/kb/?View=entry&EntryID=63

Also you will need to read the section "Using CIFS with Local Users" under http://www.packtpub.com/article/local-user-management-in-freenas .
Let me know if this fixes it for you
