I'm new to C++.  What's the easiest IDE to use for a beginner?

    Microsoft's Visual C++ Express is free, and based on the Visual Studio IDE.

    Easy to use, great debugging.

    Eclipse is free, popular and easy to use. Since your handle is ubuntuguy, I think VS Express might not work for you - otherwise it is a good option.

    I also like Source Insight

    It has a 30 day trial.
