Are you sure your subscription is up to date? If it isn't it will not update. If its not you will need to buy a new subscription.

Hi edo60,

Is this the same PC that you are having virus problems with in this thread?:

If so, the virus may be affecting your Mcafee update. If this is a different PC, check the virus subscription expiration date as the bradnetwork suggested.

If this is not the PC with the virus and the virus subscription has not expired, let us know and we can give you more troubleshooting suggestions.

For clarification:

I  have been having this problem recently as well, and I couldn't find an answer until I talked to a rep at McAfee.  He let me know that a component of 8.0 had reached its end of life, and to see McAfee KB60060 for more information.
Here is the link.

I've experienced the same problem at some of my customers.
Installed versions are perpetual, and it only affects version 8.0.0
Older and newer versions keep updating without a problem.
The solution we currently use is, run the latest superdat version, this seems to work perfectly.

I tried running the latest superdat, which did update the definitions, however it didn't fix the automatic updates for me.  When I ran the superdat, the definitions had a date of March 1st, on March 4th I checked back and they hadn't updated.  From what I was told, there's actually a way to update the framework itself, but leave the rest of the software on 8.0 and you will continue to receive updates.  Not exactly sure how to do this.  Since we are current with our grant though, I just logged in and downloaded the newest version which worked like a charm.
