Seems You`ll see it during DB creation with DBCA.

Thanks fluglash. I found the character set WE8DEC and AL16UTF16 option for a new database.
But I tried to configure the existing database but could not find any option to change the Character set. Is there a way to change the character set?

I installed the database using DBCA and saw the NLS_LANG set properly in the install scripts. But I still see WE8MSWIN1252 character set warning displayed when I try to import an oracle dump.
I ran the below query on the database and see that the NLS_CHARACTERSET = WE8DEC and  NLS_NCHAR_CHARACTERSET = AL16UTF16.

But the registry entry for NLS_LANG is AMERICAN_AMERICA.WE8MSWIN1252.

Also, when I try to run the IMP command, I see the following
import done in WE8MSWIN1252 character set and AL16UTF16 NCHAR character set
import server uses WE8DEC character set (possible charset conversion)
export client uses WE8DEC character set (possible charset conversion)

How can I get rid of the WE8MSWIN1252 character set?

I opened the registry and set it to AMERICAN_AMERICA.WE8DEC, restarted the service and it worked like a charm.
Thanks fluglash for helping out.
