Start this program at logon.... in User's Environment Tab in Active Directory does not work in Windows 2008

Hello,

I've configured a new Windows SBS 2008. Terminal Services are configured as "remote admin" (not the licenced "remote users" mode)

For one "remote-admin", i've to configure that the TS session starts and ends with a specific program. i've indicated this program with the correct path in the user's properties, environment tab in the active directory. But this option seems to be ignored.

The exactly same configuration worked with SBS 2003.

Any idea to get it working with SBS 2008 ?

Use RSOP.msc to see if there's a GPO taking out the manual configuration of the user properties dialog.

User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Terminal Services\Start a program on connection
Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Terminal Services\Start a program on connection

Thank your for your answer.
But i'm sorry, i do not find these entries.
Under "User Configuration", i don't see "Administrative Templates"
Under "Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components", i see only "Windows updates"

RSOP only displays the administrative templates that have been configured, so that's as described in your followup not the reason for the problem.

You should search experts-exchange a little - I remember there was a thread where I was participating at the end of last year or maybe january about the same problem. This seemed to be a bug in 2008.
