My powerpoint froze while saving a file. I had to force quit. The file now reads "0KB" when it should be 12 Megs or so. Powerpoint can't open it.

Any suggestions on how to recover the file?

I am using Office 2004 and Mac OS 10.4

If the file is 0 kb .. then it is EMPTY and cannot be recovered.

Your best hope would be if you have Time Machine or some form of backup system in place.. do you??

Office OSX applications have a system prefernces you can set to Auto backup every .. 5 minutes/ 10 minutes etc. .. but if this feature is not turned on you'll not have any backup.

As there is no likely way to recover the file. The correct answer is that without some form of backup the data is lost.
