Looking for a guide on disassembling a Powermac G5 Dual
I have a Powermac G5 Dual. It decided to die a death last weekend, tripping a fuse in the house and has not come back on since. There was also slight burning smell as the lights went out. I do know some of the components survived, like the memory and a pci card, so maybe not all lost. Having done some looking around the net, i think it may be reparable by replacing the power supply. I dont have any kind of warranty on the machine and i think the money i spend at the genius bar would be better spent on an intel mac say if it came to it. Firstly i would like to try and replace the psu. Does anyone know where i can get a guide on totally disembowling a powermac G5. any help much appreciated.
