Outlook prompts for password when connecting to exchange 2007

I have read some of the posts on here and made some changes but still cannot seem to get the password prompt to go away, I have setup the IIS for windows authentication, uninstalled/reinstalled office, recreated the user and mailbox in the active directory, removed managed passwords on the user's system.
This issue occured after i had the user's change their passwords, 37 users changed their passwords and this is working fine, 2 users are getting prompt for password in outlook at random times during the day. The odd thing today is if I cancel the prompt for password and in the bottom right hand corner of outlook "need password", I click on the box and hit acquire password. When i do that outlook automaticly grabs the users info and logs in. If outlook can do that then why would it prompt for a password.

I would check your active directory. perhaps run dcdiag and netdiag on your domain controllers and perhaps exchange best practise tool to see if there are any strange errors lating to kerbros.
Also ensure you have an acurate source of network time for your pdc emulator dc.

Are these two users using laptops or have roaming profiles.

When connected to the network might just try manually setting their password via AD.
Say to something like : passw0rd

Have them log off, restart their PC and log back on using this hard set password.

test to see if all goes well.

If it does, add prompt user to change password at next logon in AD

Have them log off again and back on.

Change their password and try again.

If the above doesnt work.

Usually de-joining and re-joining the PCs from the domain should work.

I ran scans on exchange and DC but nothing came up, changed the passwords, dejoined and rejoined the computers to the domain.
However i am still getting the password prompt but this time i can still use outlook, i can send/recieve email without putting in the password. I checked the outlook settings and the alway prompt for username/password is unchecked.
The systems are PC's and not laptops.

I logged in as the users on different computers and outlook is working fine, I will continue to monitor the different system but is seems like office 2003 is not having this issue, the users are using office 2007 so it seems like the issue is with the users computers and not the exchange.

After playing around with the exchange, I had a proxy setup for my IWSS manager (trend micro interweb security suite), I found that if there is a secure and ftp proxy it causes this type of issue down the line.  Setting up and http proxy if fine though as long as they are not using outlook anywhere.
