how do I access email in Unix AIX? including writing (replying) and deleting them?

then, how do I exit out of mail?

You can use mailx for all of that, but it isn't the easiest interface to use.

You'd be better off using a mail client like mutt or if the AIX server has IMAP/POP set up on it, use whatever mail client you like on your PC.

so, there is no way for me to reply directly in the Unix machine to the msg displaying?

mailx is a fully featured mail client (but not the easiest to use)

To reply, you type in the number of the message, then type

r

You compose your message followed by a
.
on a line by itself
