What is the maximum number of recipients ( email addresses) in outlook?

Any idea what is the maximum number of email address recipients we can have in outlook.

A link would be helpful.

Thanks,

I'm not aware that Outlook imposes a limit on the number of recipients. The place where such a limit will be hit will be at the email server - either at your ISP, or if your own, if you have one in-house.

Depending on the email server configuration will depend on how many recipients you can send to at any one time. Contact your ISP or mail server administrator and they should be able to give you this information.

It's not the internet connection which has the restriction. It is the mail server to which Outlook is connected.

Does your office run its own email server? Exchange? Postfix? Anything like that? If it does, then there will be a limitation set SOMEWHERE on that mail server. When you send an email using Outlook, the message is passed to the mail server, which will then either deliver it or reject it, if (for one of many reasons) the number of recipients is to large.

If your office doesn't run a mail server and email is sent through an outside server (such as an email server provided by the ISP) then you need to contact the ISP to find out the recipient limit.

And remember, it's not the connection you are using which matters; rather, it is the mail server you are connecting to. You could connect to the same mail server over a VPN or not, and it will still have the same limit.
