Outlook 2007 locks up when opening some emails

I am using office 2007 on Vista business 32x. Outlook (with BCM) will lock up when I try to open some emails. I used to get these with no problems. Random from what I can tell, no errors except after a few min, I get the fix and or close window.
I have run scanpst, tried with all addins off. I have turned off BCM, I have even made a new PST.
Any other suggestions please?

my bad... .pst file.

is it 167543 KB or 167543 mb

2gb is the max size & the closer you get it can cause slowness issues.

it is KB, I double checked. This is my newest PST so it is rather small

I've seen this issue when the calendat was shared...is the calendar shared with someone else or are you viewing another calendar?

Larry2007Author Commented:
No, I only use the calendar in Outlook and I made sure no sharing was or is on.

Hmm.... I noticed you are running Vista & Office 2007. How much RAM does this machine have? Both Vista & Office 2007 are memory hogs.

Check that cached Exhcange Mode is not On.
Tools>Account Settings>Open Account Settings
Under Exchange Server
Untick "Use Cached Exchange Mode"

Also check that SP1 is installed:

You can also check to make sure your AV software is valid through OUtlook. Click on tools>truct center?programatic access

If it is not valid, uninstall your AV sofware & see if it helps. Then re-install it back ASAP. I've seen this happen when Outlook was configured after the AV software was installed.

I did not uninstall my Av, but I do have it turned off. (for now)

Apache09 cannot find the exchange server  tic and yes SP1 is installed. I am not running on an exchange server, I am using pop3

Okay then.

POP3 does not have this option.

Deinstalled and Reinstalled office 2007 w/ BCM, seems to be fine now. It may have been related to another question I had up on seeing HTML in Emails
