Hi Folks,

If you wanted to upgrade from standard to enterprise in sql 2008 Is that pretty seamless (like upgrading sql versions)?

Watch Question

Should be even easier as SQL 2008 Enterprise will only increase the capabilities over Standard.  There will be no new keywords or other surprises ... as one always suspects between versions.

You wont see any differences as a Developer
You will see more hardware (CPU) support in Enterprise edition which would be helpful for the Database Administrator.

Using command line setup , In SQL Server 2005 you use /SKUUPGRADE=1  and in 2008 now use /ACTION=editionupgrade

But first backup everything... Use the upgrade advisor tools...
