Does anyone know the process name for Ubuntu 8.10's "Add Remove Applications" (screenshot attached)?

I tried to apply some changes and when the msgbox appeared for me to confirm the changes i clicked on a different window.... now i can't find the confirm msbox anywhere and am unable to close the add/remove applications window ... feel like a total dumbass here... but i'm a linux noob

Looks like gnome-app-install.
If xkill is installed, you could try to kill that window with your mouse:

ALT + F2 (to get the 'run' command), type: xkill [Enter], thin click on the application window.

Ask the Experts
it's Gnome-App-Install, open a console terminal, run 'top' command, press '<' or '>' keys to rearrange processes column and, when you find it, kill it by issuing K->PID->9
