Hi All,
I know you can have 2 CMS running on the same BO Instance - does anyone know where I could get someone documentation regarding this? Any input on whether this is a good idea?

We have one licence for BO but would like to run a Dev and QA CMS. I understand this is not ideal.

Many thanks,

Running 2 or more CMS services (cluster)within a single installation of BOXI is fully documented in the Administrator's Guide shipped with the product or available on the SAP support site.

Creating an additional CMS service and clustering in through the Central Configuration Manager is a straightforward process, but is only needed if you are looking for an environment with active failover / minimal downtime or have exceeded the capacity of a single CMS (thresholds are documented in the XI R2 Sizing Guide).

"We have one licence for BO but would like to run a Dev and QA CMS. I understand this is not ideal."

Regarding this statement, concerns around licensing of non-production environments are best brought to the attention of your SAP / BOBJ sales rep.  It's my understanding that non-prod licenses aren't free, but usually available at a reduced price (although I'm sure this may vary...)
