Configuring HWIC-1ASDL on a Cisco 2811

I have just installed a 1ADSL card into my 2811 Cisco Router. I am now trying to configure it. I have installed it in the HWIC1 slot of the router. I have been trying to config the card by typing

interface atm0/3/0

Each time I enter the above it says invalid input. Does anyone shed some light on this please?

I have also trying to enter the below config and it will not accept the first line? Error 'Invalid input'
Thank you.

interface Vlan1
description *** Customer Local Area Connection ***
 ip address
 --More-- ip nat inside
 no ip virtual-reassembly
 ip tcp adjust-mss 1452

I have attached below the IOS of the router. Maybe this might not be good enough to reconzise the ASDL card?

A 2811 will support 'inteface vlan 1' command only if you have got an onboard 16 port switch as the NM. If you have an external switch, you should be creating subinterfaces on fa 0/0 or fa 0/1 and creating subinterfaces as dot1q trunks.

interface fa 0/0.1
encapsulation dot1q 1
ip address

Also regarding your ADSL card, I know for sure the 2811 has support for the ADSL card. Please upgrade IOS to 124-something or higher. You have enough RAM/flash for the upgrade

Cisco website recommends a minimum of  12.4(4)T Base for support of this card on the 2811 platform
