Default attach file window options

Hi all,

I just received a request to have someone's Notes client default to the "Details" instead of coming up with "List".  He'd also like it to default to sort by "Date Modified".

I don't know if a) this is possible and b) how to do it.

Does anyone have a suggestion?

Thanks!

What is that, some kind of notes application?

I don't understand your first sentence. Explain what is "details" and "list"? Where is that, mail or custom application?

You can change the sorting of the view columns using Domino Designer (Views - open your view - column properties).

I'm sorry, I just re-read what I posted and you're right- my sentence doesn't make sense!  I'm sorry you'll have to bare with me my head's clouded from this cold I'm battling.

What I'm looking for is a way to edit the options of the file attachment dialog box.  ie: when you're in an e-mail and hit attach, the box that comes up for the file selection.  Rather than having the default "List" view of the files, he would like to have it default to "Details".

Hi,

Thanks for your response.

I'm talking about the "Create Attachments" dialog box.  I'll attach a screenshot here.  It seems to be slightly different than the built in Windows one, I'm not sure if it's just because they pass it arguements to allow it to be resized and add the "compress" checkbox, but it does look different than the built in Windows one.

Thanks guys.  My answer back to him will be that it's not possible, even though with some registry editing/3rd party programs there's possibility of having the behaviour changed to what he is looking for, I'm not prepared to risk system stability and end up with a non-standard station on our network.

Thanks for your help!
