Remotely Installing McAfee Virusscan 8.5 via E-Policy Orchestrator 4.0

I just upgraded to E-Policy Orchestrator 4.0. I am trying to figure out how to push out the full VirusScan Enterprise 8.5 to a new workstation through the E-Policy Orchestrator interface. I'd like a task setup to check workstations daily or maybe every few hours etc, and install the application as needed.

I've been able to push out the McAfee Agent by selecting Deploy Agent, but I don't see an option to push out the VirusScan. It is in my repository though so I would think it should be possible.

Can someone please walk me through this process or point me in the right direction? Thanks.

Hi adw123,

Please look at the section Configuring the deployment task to install products on a
managed system"  in the below link:

http://www.experts-exchange.com/Virus_and_Spyware/Anti-Virus/Q__24151243.html

Hope the information is helpful for pushing the Viruscan.

Let me know the results.

Regards,

Vishnu

Hi Vishu

You've posted the link to this question in your reply ???

Basically adw123, you need to create a task to deploy VSE

Have you configured the Active Directory Synch task yet ?

You can just create a Deployment Task in ePO4 and choose which components you want to deploy

Make sure you've checked them in to the repository first.

Let me know if you need more

Cheers
Si
