OWA 2007 Invalid theme info file in folder 'base'.

Hello All!

I have a problem with Exchange 2007 OWA. The browser gives me back this error message:
Initialization of Outlook Web Access failed.
Invalid theme info file in folder 'base'. Line 0 Position 0. XML parser error. Root element is missing.

I've read several articles about repairing this thing. You must copy the theme files from the Exchange 2007 dvd Setup\ServerRoles\ClientAccess\owa\version\themes back to the server to owerwrite corrupt files and do an iisreset.

I've done that but it doesn't work! I got the same error message.

Any ideas?

Have you deployed SP1?
If so then you need to copy the files from the SP1 file set.
You should also reapply the latest rollup on the machine afterwards.

This Exchange Server came with SBS 2008 Premium so Sp1 is deployed by deafult. I copied back the files from the SBS 2008 recovery DVD and i did not find Exchange Sp1 as a standalone file so i guess the installer have SP1 integrated.

I did not reapply the latest update rollup yet (think is Rollup 6), so i'll give it a try a report back.

Thanks

It would help if you indicated that it was SBS 2008. Exchange 2007 SP1 is the only version that works on Windows 2008.

Okay. So I copied back the themes folder from the DVD to the hard drive, then re-applied the Update Rollup and everthing works like a dream!

Woah yeah! You're my hero! Thanks a lot!
