Upgrading ESXi 3.5 From Update 2 to Update 3 on USB stick

I am running ESXi 3.5 Update 2 for HP proliant
I boot ESXi from a USB stick which was built from the:
VMware-VMvisor-big-3.5.0_Update_2-103909.i386.dd  file inside the install.tgz in the ISO file
according to these instructions:
I'm now upgrading to Update 3 and so have created a new boot USB with the new file:
The server boots fine and I've added machines to the inventory from the existing vmfs store.
Is this all that needs doing?  Are there any changes I should make to the VM's themselves?

You should be good to go. Sometimes there will be an updated version of VMware Tools after an update like that, but that is all I would look out for. Have fun!
