Can RIP v2 load balance 2 routes

I am going to be configure some new HP switches.  I have 2 point to point T1 lines between my locations.  If I understand things correctly RIP will allow me to have 2 equal cost routes to a destination so I can add a static route for the IP of each of these routers to my hp switches.  My question is will rip load balance between the 2 routes or just notice when one goes down and then use the other one?  If I use OSPF will I be able to load balance the 2 routes?  Thanks

    You can load balance with RIP v2.  As long as the links have (or you adjust) the same cost, both routes will be added to the ip routing table.

    You can also load balance with OSPF in the same manner.

    Also, I meant hop count when referring to cost with RIP.
