class.phpmailer SpamAssasin says text alternative is not being sent

Hi I have a form here http://www.fastraxcc.com/quote-request/index-quote.php when I receive an email it is going straight in the junk. The only problem spamassasin reports is:

MIME_HTML_ONLY BODY: Message only has text/html MIME parts

I am unsure why phpmailer is not sending the text part (I have the latest version), I have copied what I hope is the relevant code below.

This is whats happening:
SpamAssassin has too much weight on HTML only mail, causing it to flag the message as spam even if there are no other spam defining elements.

This is how you can fix it:
Opt 1. Change your SpamAssassin values to decrease the weight on 100% HTML messages.
Opt 2. Increase the points required to mark as spam
Opt 3. Ensure you don't have any HTML elements in the body of your email
Opt 4. Manually force PHPMailer to send as text/plain ONLY (instructions below)

Thanks for your response.

Unfortunately I need to include HTML elements in the form, as outputs the form contents in a table.

I did try Option 4, and it does force plain text as you said. As you probably know that increased the spam score for including HTML in a plain text email.

My concern is not really that it gets caught by by spamassasin, but as I have default settings it is likely to be caught in clients junk as well.

Is there no way to get phpmailer to send a plain text version as well, as well as the HTML?

This is true, which means you should try to include as much plain text content in the email body as possible (outside of the HTML tags). I did not see an example of the message body in the content you posted, but SpamAssassin decreases the "points" given to an email in increments (100% HTML, 90% HTML, 50% HTML ect..). If you could put the bare minimum of HTML needed to properly display your message, SpamAssassin should let it through in default settings.

With automated mail you will commonly run into the problem of it ending up in a persons spam folder. The best you can do is format the message in a way that reduces this risk as much as possible. Even highly developed spam filters like Gmail/Hotmail use can make a mistake or two.

PHPMailer will not do this by default. You can try what I wrote above, or code a second plain text version of the email and send it via PHPMailer. Of course for users not using SpamAssassin this could be irritating.

Did you need to keep the data in table format for visual reasons, or because you are having trouble modifying the script to generate the body without HTML elements? If you posted the PHP that generates the output I could take a look at it for you.
