Tandberg RDX Quickstor backup disk drive slow on BackupExec 11d.
Just had a new server put in, with a Tandberg RDX Quickstor backup disk drive. It's supposed to run at 45Mb/Sec , but we're only getting 5Mb/Sec on Symantec BackupExec 11d.
Can anybody shed some light on this?

Turn off the TOE for testing by running the following command on the server
NETSH INT IP SET CHIMNEY DISABLED
you will get OK as return
Run a backup and check the throughput
If there is an immense improvement you know its the TOE (TCPIP OFFLOADINF ENGINE) that is causing the problem

Is the TOE issue know to affect backup to local disks? This seems an odd side effect of a TOE.
I will run the test as suggested.

The firmware update seems to have given us the biggest speed improvement.

We have had the RDX firmware update by our contracted support bods to v. 0044,
we are now up to 770Mb/minute according to BackupExec.
I'm running a backup of 7Gb to a local backup-to-disk folder to test your theory.
What is the TOE issue. Our server's NIC does have TCP offload capabilities
