xp home need to check file sercurity

need to change file attrib's in subdirectories but windows xp home as not got the same security taba as pro
anyone know the procedure

    Here's a trick to allegedly get the security tab to work on Home:

    (You may want to download and run EruNT in order to make a backup copy of your registry before proceeding:

    Note: Security features require the Ntfs file system.

    The Security tab becomes available in Windows XP Home when you start the computer in Safe Mode.

    the safe mode solution worked the first soloution only works on NT
