Dial-Up Connection change settings in Registry

Look in Control Panel -> Phone and Modem options, and the dialing rules are in there. You can then use the dialing rules in the Network and Dial Up connections dialogue box when you set up a dialer connectoid. .... T

Setting the control panel option changes the registry, and does the job correctly, so I am not clear on what additional you would like to do. .... T

LIke i said i need to know where is the data changed in the registry. I know how to operate the change the traditional way. I am looking how it can be done only in the registry. If you know the registry key that is beying change by this action , your input is greatly appreciated.

The main key is in HK Current User -> Remote Access -> Profile. Unfortunately the different elements are in different places, so you would have to check through all the possible places for variables.

After Remote Access there are no sub-folders.

In the main Remote Access key, you need a sub key for Profile, and the a sub key that has the name of the dialer. In there are a number of variables that need to be set. At this point, the discussion would become circular because the variables are the ones set in Control Panel. I can recognize the variables, but I cannot tell you how to construct them from first principles. ... T

I am not sure if you understood what i am trying to accomplish.
When you perform a dial-up connections and multiple modems are found, in the properties of that dial-up connection you are able to select the default modem to be used for that connection.
I need to find the registry key for that particulat option, meaning: default modem to be used.
