Win 2008 component services are not accessible giving the error message as attached.

Dear experts,
I am getting the attached error message while trying to open the Component services from administration tools in win-2008.
Request you please go through attached and advice more on this.  I would like to have resolution of this issue rather to go for re-installation as this server has been using as server for 100 more users .

Hate to start with the obvious, but have you checked your permissions on the dsa.msc?

Is it actually Missing?

Launch MMC.exe, and add the snapin comexp.msc for the Component Services?

"abvious that, permissions should not be the issue. "

Just because you are an admin, doesnt mean the permissions are intact.......

Double check the file's ACL (Security tab) and even go to teh Advanced>Effective permissions tab, and verify it there.....

Start>run>MMC.exe>File>Add/Remove Snapin>and then add your Component Services MSC.... See if it works that way....
