Hello missmuppet,

Check if the email is in the Draft folder.

If not, check if email is saved in OLK temp folder. This folder is difficult to access. Here is a way to access the folder and files
http://www.outlook-tips.net/archives/2003/20030828.htm

In Vista, the Secure Temp folder is located at C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.Outlook\xxxxxxxx

Outlook Temp Cleaner to find and clean OLK folder

Hope this helps!

In the Trust Centre - "Antivirus status invalid" and I can't edit any settings on the Programmatic Access Security Page.  Would this cause the problem, I have NOD32?

The antivirus program may not be working correctly with Outlook, so may be causing your to not be able to access edit menu.  Disable the addin for NOD32 and test.
