how can i add more than 256 chars to a text control on  a datawindow ?
I added a text control to a datawindow , the text is a static 3 paragraphs that contains more than 256 characters (like a terms & conditions portion).

however, powerbuilder cuts off the string and only permits 256 chars.
otherwise, i have to add several text controls to the dw and format it so that it looks like an valid terms & conditions portion.

this is a report dw, not a dw that a user will click therefore i can't add a scrollbar to this, users will be printing this report. i'm also doing this a the dw level and not coding anything via a window that calls this dw since i don't have access to windows only the dw.

the string is not coming from a database column but something i am manually entering.
so how can i add more than 256 chars to a text control on a dw?

Hi,

instead of a text column use a computed field to solve ur purpose.
Thats how we do it.
