I have an HP DL360 with 2-SCSI drives.  I have ran the RAID configurator using the Smart Start CD. During the process, it asked me to insert my Windows Server CD. After copying the files, it reboot.  It went through the normal POST but as is loads the OS, it just sits there on a blue screen with the words "Windows Setup" on the top left corner of the screen.

try to redo the operation with a different version of HP smart start i.e. smart start 8.15 from the following link

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=emea_africa&prodNameId=3288138&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=316558&swLang=8&taskId=135&swEnvOID=1005

its name is HP SmartStart CD x32  8.15 (B)
If it has got as far as the Windows setup bit then it's highly likley that it's not the SmartStart but the Windows media

have you used this disk before? Can you create another copy of the disk by downloading from eopen (assuming you are using licensing and not OEM / boxed product)?

Yes it is 8.15. I can't tell if it is B.  I just downloaded it yesterday. But I will try to redownload it and post my comment.
Yes I have used the disk before.

hhhmmm...

this could be a cause of firmware-software compatibility..

which generation of DL360 do you have and what OS are you loading.
anyways, try to update the server's firmware.

here's the download link

then try to boot the SmartStard CD again

Agree with Randy. It isn't the smartstart cd. The issue could be on the OS cd or the cd drive couldn't read the OS cd properly. Try other OS cd or change cd drive would be the direction.
