What can I use for a data Input\output interface tool for SQL 2005 database?

I have an established database which I need the ability to access a record or records.

First, I want to just view the records.
Second, I want to be able to edit data in ther record.
       - Then I want to be able to save the edited data back to the database.

Is there some form based tool which has all the components necessary.  Or please provide recommendations on how I can resolve this issue. Thx.

You can design a simple application either in VB or C# .Net to achieve that..

There is SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) which will allow you to do that, or, if for "client" access then there are some other tools such as Toad, Then there is a web interface that can be downloaded, or, you can start a little bit of coding in  Visual Studio (and MS do have plenty of examples and tutorials), or Visual Studio Express, but then you are starting to create a form for the table in question.

If you could give a bit more information as to the circumstances, then might be able to help out a bit more. If just for you, then use SSMS.

The database will need to be accessed by up to ten individuals & some with the ability to change or add data to the database fields per record.

I am looking for explicit details for setting this up as an intermediate user.

Thanks guys for supporting my concern.

OK, there are a few things....

As a developer, or being able to create simple forms for data maintenance have a look at :

for a step by step beginner guide : http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/beginner/bb308891.aspx

Here is a "starter" kit download : http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=34e601ca-e4b8-43ac-bfa9-426483a392df&displaylang=en

And a numer of them (scroll down to employee forms) : http://www.asp.net/community/projects/

For more SQL Server type stuff (including reporting) look at : http://www.codeplex.com/SqlServerSamples/Wiki/View.aspx?title=SQLServerDatabasesandSamplesOverview&referringTitle=Home

OR, as a user, maybe some of the code generators might be more appealing

such as : http://www.eazycode.com/

and http://www.mediacom.hr/net/

and moving into the bigger versions : http://www.opengatesw.net/support/SQL-Server-Support.htm

and wider reaching - more than just a gui front end : http://www.razorsql.com/index.html?adid=rifaa22&gclid=CI272Iqe6ZgCFQdrgwodl3MM0w

and for reporting / excel manipulations look at : http://www.sqlexcel.net/SQL-Excel-Key-Features.html  (going simple again)...
